Big Aerin Design is my freelance graphic design brand. I decided on the name Big Aerin as my height of 6 feet has always set me apart from other people; this is the tone of voice I wanted to set for my brand. The logo contains both a brandmark and a wordmark which are designed to be used together but can be separated for different mediums. The brand mark has been manipulated into a pattern for maximum flexibility and is positioned in order to be as recognizable as possible.
I created a self-promotional item that could be sent to prospective employers to set my application apart from fellow applicants. As an avid hot sauce collector, I designed a special blend that could put my unique touch with a mix of branding, identity, and packaging skills. The idea was that it would be my way of adding spice to prospective workspaces. With a particular interest in food and beverage packaging and branding, I felt this set the tone for a future career.
