In my 3rd year of university I was asked to make an animation that included infographics to communicate about a social issue. For this project, I chose Food Poverty in the UK and used Adobe after effects to create the animated video. This was one of the most challenging projects I have designed and facilitated as I was largely self taught in the software and wasn't familiar with animation. However, I strongly gravitate towards infographics as they are my personal best way of learning information and I felt strongly about the topic at hand. I used a consistent illustration style to create an identity and familiarity for the animation, as well as sans serif typography for optimal legibility. Throughout this project, I increased my familiarity with the AfterEffects software by making better use of different transition styles, 3D animations and varied camera dimensions.
