A part of my university illustration module was to redesign a royalty free book and I chose the Wizard of Oz. At the time, it was an intimidating project as drawing is not a skill i'm largely familiar with but it ended up being one of my favourite projects. I chose elements of each chapter that were subtle in order to draw images that the reader would later understand. I believe it blends the aesthetic of childhood charm with simplicity and creates a crafted interpretation of the classic book.
